One of my hobbies is collecting pictures. Some are photos, others are art which are almost indistinguishable to actual photos. I have thousands of pictures on my PC and CD's. If anyone wants something specific (within reason) PM me and I'll see if I have it. I have Angels to Wildlife and everything in between.

It's even better Polaris. Stand right up to the hedge against the fence and click away. They will have the tigers doing several displays like jumping from log to log, drinking milk from cartons and playing in the pond. A trainer is assigned to each tiger and sits, stands, plays and stays with their tiger all day. It is hot where you stand to take pics so remember a hat so you don't collapse from the heat as we have had between 30 and 40c during the days up here. Also, after you have finished with the pics just behind you is a place that sells refreshments, go up the stairs and sit facing the tiger island and enjoy the spectacle from another vantage point. Plus at the same time enjoying an ice-cream. Dream World and SeaWorld are my 2 favorite theme parks on the Gold Coast. |

Here are a couple of pics of Mohan (I think it is) in the pool. They love water. One you've seen them you never forget them. The pics aren't the best quality but you get the idea.

At Dream World they give the tigers little cartons of plain milk, which they love. The sad thing is that a few years ago a not quite fully grown female who was born there died suddenly and they put it down to her reaction to the bacteria in the milk. |

When we went to Dream World on the Gold Coast this was not a part of the Tiger Island display. How spectacular is that??? WOW. They are teaching them new routines all the time obviously. I think it was 3 years ago that we went, for my birthday that year. |

Could not resist this pic in today's http://www.news.com.au/?from=ninews_leftnav. Don't think the water would do it much good but then again Koalas eat Eucalypt leaves which are high in toxicity and make the Koala's permanently 'high'... so considering that... I expect pool water will not affect it!

There is a dedicated thread for pics of pets so I am merging this new thread with the older one. Suzi the double thread nazi is always on the lookout! Another good thread is: http://www.ebroadcast.com.au/eblah/b-pets/m-1127100093/Please search before creating a new thread on a subject that already exists. Very cute pics Mood. |

Alleycat... tell me you did not just slap a moderator We try to keep the threads to a minimum in this forum. Like.... 'Cute animal pics, not necessarily pets' and 'Cute pics of pets' are quite enough threads on animals and pets IMHO. Another one was not needed. It was called 'Cute pets' so.... can you please post your beautiful cat Bribie in the Cute pics of pets as well, please? It can be found here: http://www.ebroadcast.com.au/eblah/b-pets/m-1127100093/Cheers, and no more slapping. By the way how does Bribie like the tropics with all that fur? |

THIS WOMAN IN THE VIDEO FOUND THIS LION INJURED IN THE FOREST READY TO DIE. SHE TOOK THE LION WITH HER AND NURSED THE LION BACK TO HEALTH. WHEN THE LION WAS BETTER SHE MADE ARRANGEMENTS WITH A ZOO TO TAKE THE LION AND GIVE IT A NEW AND HAPPY HOME. WATCH THE LION'S REACTION WHEN HE SEES HER. AMAZING!!!! Cheers. The mother cat has been acting fairly "cold" since she's had her litter. I guess she's still adjusting to her new lifestyle. She's very good to her kittens, although she initially freaked out and neglected them soon after giving birth (poor girl). Anyway, the kittens are all doing really well. They're currently frolicking about in the garage, however the cage is the mother's area of choice for feeding her babies. The two ginger kitties are currently sharing pilchards with their mum. I've also noticed that she's also taught them to use the litter box and how to eat/drink from the dishes. Since the mother cat grew up without a mother herself, she used to sniff her milk as a baby (it took her a while to learn how to drink properly ) and she used to place her hands in the bowl whenever she ate/drank, so it's nice to see what a world of difference a mother makes for her children. One kitten will be given to the lady who gave us the mother cat, one might go to my cousin's new fiance, and the rest may go to a relative. I suppose I'll keep the "reject". (I've grown quite attached to the dark ginger cat, although my dad likes the more playful black/white kitten) But I wouldn't honestly be able to choose between them. |

I would recommend getting her desexed Silly because it takes a hell of a lot out of any female to give birth and raise children. It is a responsible thing to do, getting your animals desexed. As you have seen having kids has changed her personality already. She's not your cute little baby anymore, she is a responsible Mum and to hell with everyone else! Beautiful beautiful colouring by the way. |

It depends on which kitten we keep. If we keep one of the girls, we'll have one of them desexed (preferably the mother, as I'll want the baby to experience motherhood as well), however if we keep a boy, we might let the mother have another litter (although we'll most likely have her desexed should she have a second litter). Hell, the mother cat went in heat within *days* of having her litter. Luckily she snapped out of it within a couple of days. I just hope she doesn't fall pregnant again so quickly. |

Maybe you could put her on the 'pill'. We have never had a 'mother cat', always desexed kittens and I would love to experence that. Think I will do that next one we get. |

We've given away 3 of the babies (the light ginger, grey and black/white ones). Now we have a black/white female and a dark ginger male. I'm thinking of keeping the dark ginger one. |

too cute Candy, is it a Loggerhead? They usually hatch at night to up their chances of survival from being eaten by water/ocean birds. I would love to see them hatch, did you accompany it until it swam in the water? I would have to do that. |

yes I think so, SuziH. It was such rough surf that it kept getting washed back on the beach, so I had my brother-in-law take it out further into the ocean. Later I rang the Turtle Monitoring Group, and learned that they had relocated the nest last year, further up the sand bank (I wondered how the mother turtle had got up there...) I went back several times, but didn't see any others, though there were tiny tracks across the sand. This was so close to the surf club and not at the deserted end of the beach, which surprised me. |
