2 - useless cockatiel birds ( white/yellow & grey/ white )

1 - 11 yr old male cat ( burmese X russian blue ) grey ..with a splash of white .

( did have another kitten in 2003 - not related) ..but it either got pinched or hit .
it was the nicest kitten i've seen to date lol ( trying not to sound biased here )
it was grey and had white markings down middle of it's head ..like a border collie !
( so what did we do !  .... we called it border catty )

ok , pehaps not then ..errr, why dont the image codes here do what their suppose to do , like other sites i attend ?

EDIT : tried putting in image using "image icon above" ...still came up with address showing ..what the ?
is this differant to other sites or what ?

I had a fishy named "Fishy." It died last week and I was sad.  Yesterday I got two new fishys and I named them "Pretty Fishy" and "Pretty Fishy".  If I really need to be specific about them then one's male and one's female so the same name isn't a big deal.  Their pronounced differantly though, one is "Pretty Fishy" and the other one is "Pretty Fishy".  This is about the best I can do as far as pets go while renting.

Fish and I should never live in the same home. I tend to kill them with kindness (feed them too much). I had a beautiful bug eyed gold fish once named 'Black velvet'. I have 3 budgies. Sunshine, the girl, is now over 8 years old. The other two, Puddin' and Sweetie are boys and are around 1 year old. Yes, renting a place puts limits on your hobbies and pets.

It's quite possible I killed mine feeding it too much as well.  He lived in a big glass vase on our dinner table and I used to feed him tiny, tiny pieces of meat when we ate.  I went and read about his sypmtoms and there's various things that cause the same things another of which was also possible.

It was a Siamese fighting fish.  Now I've bought a male and female Siamese fighting fish and the guy said they'de work out in the same tank together.  That wasn't the case though.  I think he's must be particularly aggressive.  Now I have Pretty Fishy in a big tank and Pretty Fishy in a glass vase accross the room.

I didn't like seeing Fishy go.  His last movement was pretty much twitching in my hand.  Hard to tell with fish, but I think he died while we actually watching.  My wife cryed.

Just give these fish what the pet store has for them. Animals don't cook their food before they eat it and we really shouldn't feed any animal what meat we are eating. When I used to suppliment feed a family of magpies in breeding season it was only ever lean raw steak and/or the leanest mince. Even bread for wild birds is not recommended.

Talk about holding your pet while they die... I have had 3 birds die in my hands, litterally while I was holding them. One was a pee wee I raised from a cottonball sized bit of fluff to 12 weeks until she died in my hand. She just stretched to her full body length like in a spasm then died. I wept over her for an hour. The next one (a budgie) wasn't quite so dramatic but the last one, Horrie, a year ago at age 3, was too ill before I realised he was sick and so I force fed him with an eye dropper and he had a heart attack and died in my hand. I did beak to mouth resuscitation and used just one finger to massage his chest. Then I sat with him in my hand until rigor mortis set in. I then wrapped him in my best wash cloth and bubble wrap then in a plastic chinese food container, sealed it, wrote an epitaph on it, buried him in a large pot under a birds nest plant. W I just know I am going to be a mess when my 'Sunshine' dies, at age 8 she is now living on borrowed time although given good health and a good life she could live to 13 or more.

I almost had 3 cats this morning.  While mine was snoring away with me on the bed, 2 others managed to sneak into the house, eat all her food, poop in her litter box and raid the rubbish bin.  We have no idea why our cat didn't alert us to them and aren't sure how they even got in.  The only time they might have snuck in was when we went out in the backyard at 2 am to investigate the feral antics of some drunken hoons over our back fence.  I didn't notice them until after 5 am.

I know pet budgies can live up to and even more than 10 years of age. Sunshine, my eldest, had been sleeping more and playing less in these past 6 to 8 months. Three weeks ago Sunshine passed away overnight. When I uncovered her one tuesday morning she was laying on her tummy on the floor of the cage she shared with Puddin' and Sweetie (two young males). She looked like she was asleep, I howled for half a day. I still miss her antics and her funny little personality. I had a 'sad' day yesterday thinking about her. She was Eight and a half when she died. Every morning she would be waiting for me to open the door to the cage for the day, she couldn't wait to get out and play and scratch her head on the gum twigs that are secured to the top of the cage. If the younger birds got too boisterous for her I locked them in the cage while leaving her out. I had another 3 year old girl who picked on Sunshine and gave her a rough time, I took her to the pet store last year and swapped her for a juvenile male. No-one hurt my baby girl. I will choose another Lutino (yellow with red eyes) girl later on this year. I might call this one Tweety!

My mum won't let us keep birds she says it's cruel :S
I have 2 cats they are my babies and 2 fish which are my sisters. They are several months old which shocked us as our last fish lasted all of a few days. Fish don't do well with us either
We also have 2 sea snails with the fish.
I used to have a dog called Jessie and A dog called norman and a dog called sparky.
Norman got put down   Best german shepard, I was a baby, he let me ride on him, took care of me, so good!
Jessie we gave away when we moved to USA She used to visit me at school
Sparky was too naughty so he went.

The Maltese Terrier in my piccy is Jesse, the love of our life. We got her in 1996 when she was 5 weeks old, too young to leave her mother, really.
In 1998 she was diagnosed with Colonitus and the vet said she would not have a long life. Happily we are proving him wrong.
Sadly she is starting to go downhill now, she is losing so much hair she has a coat on all the time now, or she would freeze. Her back legs are stiffening up and she cannot jump anymore. But, she enjoys life and is not in pain, so the vet says, so we are just enjoying so much her twilight years.
Gee, I have tears in my eyes just typing this..............just gotta go and give her a cuddle....

it's no more cruel than keeping a fish in a bowl 24/7.  Our galah was born in captivity and it'd be cruel to release her.  She was "chatting" to our 2 resident magpies this morning.  Paula had them singing (the magpies) too.

I have a 7 year old cat named Bobcat.

I kept telling my friend as a joke that I wanted a bobcat for my birthday so that I could do some earthmoving on the farm.

On the evening of my birthday, he turns up on my door step with a six weeks old cat. He tells me...

Here is a cat named Bob.

So I called him Bobcat.

I had fishes for 20 years.
I used to have two 4 foot tanks sitting side by side in the living room.
One tank had tropical fishes.
The other had African cichlids.

Some of my fishes lived five to six years.
Keeping fishes is a serious business and not for everyone.
Their water need to be clean with the correct PH level.
Temperature of the water need to be right and constant.

Once you have done all that
If you buy different fishes, some are more territorial than some others. They will fight and kill each other. The solution is to know what sort of fish to buy.

Gold Fishes are the easiest to keep and they thrive in an outside pond. But watch out for the birds who will try to get them.

I don't believe in fish's bowls. They should be ban.
There is no way that a fish can be happy in a bowl.
And unless you change its water every 2 or 3 days, the fish will die.
And if you fill it with tap water, it will probably die from the chlorine in the water.
