I used Firefox for a while because I just like the idea of it being non-monopolisingmicrosoft, but then it kept crashing on me all the time, and I'm not clever enough to work out why/fix it, hence, back to IE.....

I liked the Tabbed browsing on FF, but now I have msn tabbed browsing...so that's good (I think). Although, I do have lingering guilt about using Microsoft products!!!

I've been using Firefox for quite a while now.  I haven't had the problems of it crashing so I've been lucky with that because it really is a great browser.  I've been using it long enough that when something doesn't work I no longer think of it as a limitation of the browser buy as (and what it truly is) a limitation of the web page programmer in choosing to use code that is IE only when it can be done in a standard way that satisfies all browsers.
That said, If the function to highlight and tag words with BB code is an extention to the forum and not a part of the core program itself, would the administrator that handles this please see if there is an alternative script, a cross-browser one that works in browsers that are not IE as well as IE.  It does not work properly in Firefox.  The tags do not go on the highlighted text but are put at the end of the entire text field.  Clicking a smiley also puts it at the end of the text field.

I just remembered that as far as Firefox crashing goes, Oprah is also a tabbed browsing interface and it is now free and without ads.  I haven't used it much but I beleive it has it's own lite form of Java and apparently it has built in IRC and RSS functions.  Other than that it's just like everything else.  Much like Firefox but without all the extensions to enhance it.

Used to use firefox but had to many crashes and slow to load, so gave up on it.
Might go back to it after they sort out the latest round of problems.

I use Flashpeak Slim Browser, it has everything IE and Firefox has with Tab browsing which is much easier to use than IE with the MSN ADD On.

I tried the MSN addon and found that it did nothing compared to Slim Browser

ok Avant Browser is not a real browser, its a wrap around another, firefox has had probs over the last month, but its open source, therefore the benefits to the user ate 1000 fold better than IE, use FF with extensions such as session saver, text highlighter, tabbed, snapback tab, IE view only, flashgot integrated with getright (the best free downloader) and a few others , if ur interested ill add more, BEWARE SOME EXTENSIONS ARE BUGGY AND NEED UPDATING BY THIER AUTHORS so use the more popular ones, my FF is about 50 times faster than IE and i only use dialup.

Open source is the future just be aliitle patient to have them updated, check regularly.

Oh and did i mention themes like pinball which just rock

We like Firefox in this house, including that it doesn't use as many system resources as IE.

Back before we upgraded the PC, we preferred Opera as it ran well through Windows 95 and used very little resources compared to IE.

I use Maxathon, which is simply a wrap-around for IE, but it gives more flexibility.

I've used Mozilla and Netscape in the past, but went back to IE.  It is more compatible and convenient than either of the other two.  IMHO only of course .

I've always used Netscape. Version 7.2 is the best, no earlier or no later.

I have used IE ever since I bought Windows 95 in 1996.

I tried Netscape and did not like it.

I tried Firefox 2 months ago and did not like it. Not pretty enough.

I guess I like to stick with what I know.

Currently using Firefox, used to use Opera, but when they went from 6 to 7 and stuffed the email, I ended up using thunderbird, which lead me to firefox. Firefox is free (I dont like the adds in Opera) so I am probably going to stay with it.

Preference toward the use of Opera. Firefox a very close second. Opera just blazes through pages compared to the others.

I love Opera. Had the internet and I.E for 8 years then installed Opera in the last year or so and would NOT go back. Tried Firefox but it played up heaps with me.

Firefox for 95% of the time, IE for the remainder.

I did use Chrome for a while. It's simple and fast. But I lost it when my PC dropped its bundle some time ago and I never bothered to reinstall.

Hahahaha, firefox was the best D:
But then now I really got myself into using Google Chrome, IMO it's way faster than firefox, and it also has a nice clean interface.
