Oh YAY!!! I wasn't the only one who thought Paula would have been a better replacement. Yeah i agree with you guys, she is very much like Kate.
When I saw Agent Cassidy at the start of the ep I almost "squeeeed" in delight. We usually only seem to see her via video link. I was so hoping that she would be part of the team. But alas, I know now tis not to be.
Im not a huge fan of the new team member. I guess we'll have to give her time but.. I dont know. we'll see.
Is it too late to get into this show? I tried once but didn't really give it a chance.
I think you would enjoy it elie06. Just remember a few pointers.
Mark Harmon plays Leroy Jethro Gibbs who is the boss. They even call him 'Boss'. He has been married several times always to red haired women. He is single now. He is a bit grumpy and jaded but has a great relationship with Abby and Ducky in particular.
Sasha Alexander played Caitlin "Kate" Todd (2003-2005) she died in the finale of last season. Kate and Tony were always tormenting each other, particularly Tony who drove Kate mad at times.
Michael Weatherly plays Tony DiNozzo. Was in Dark Angel as Jessica Alba's wheelchair bound love interest.
Pauley Perrette plays Abby Sciuto. Abby is a tattoo-ed, body pierced Goth who is beloved by all. Very brainy forensic and computer expert. Gibbs brings her huge slurpies and they have a great connection.
David McCallum plays Dr. Donald 'Ducky' Mallard. A great actor from way back. He does the Autopsies.
Sean Murray plays Timothy McGee (2004-) a very likable character. Gibbs gives Tony hell so Tony gives 'McGee' hell in turn. Tony still calls him 'Probie' which I take means 'probationary' although Mcgee has been part of the team for at least a season.
Cote de Pablo .... Ziva David (2005-) just joined so I have not seen much of her yet. A lot of people on these boards don't like her.
Premiered September 23, 2003 Show Category: Action/Adventure , Drama
For eight seasons, "JAG" executive producer Donald Bellisario has brought us the inner workings of the United States Navy's office of the Judge Advocate General, exposing its behind-the-scenes courtroom secrets and procedures.
Now he shifts his focus to the team from the NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service), the government agency that investigates all crimes involving Navy and Marine Corps personnel, regardless of rank or position.
Leading this team that operates outside of the military chain of command is NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), a skilled investigator and interrogator who is smart, tough and willing to bend the rules to get the job done.
Working under Gibbs is Agent Anthony Dinozzo (Michael Weatherly), a former homicide detective who joined NCIS just a few years ago, but who has instincts that can come only from working on the streets.
Joining them is Agent Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette), a gifted forensic scientist whose dark wit matches her goth-style hair and clothes, and Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard (David McCallum), a medical examiner.
From murder and espionage to terrorism and stolen submarines, these special agents traverse the globe to investigate all crimes with Navy or Marine Corps ties.
Through season one a new character has been introduced -- special agent Tim McGee (Sean Murray, "The Random Years") whose computer skills will be a very big part of the NCIS team.
Special Agent Caitlin "Kate" Todd (Sasha Alexander, "Dawson's Creek"), a former United States Secret Service agent, has brought her intelligence and gutsy personality to the team through first 2 seasons, until during her duty in season two finale, when she was murdered by a terrorist, leaving a whole new story for the next season...
Wow! Lol, thanks for that SuziH. I'm going to try and watch it this wednesday, after prison break hehe. Every ad for this show looks really good, and I've always liked shows like this. Don't know why I never got into it. Guess I'll start now though lol...

I know!!!!!!!!!! I am so mad at her for killing Ari i doubt i will ever get over that. I can't believe she would want to work for the man whose arch-nemises was her brother. Oh!!! I like Paula much better. And yeah it was good to see her aside from what we usually get to see her in the video links.

I think you will love the show. I think that you may be at a little disadvantage because NCIS has been having a running storyline since mid season 1. But those were only a few episodes. And i am crossing my fingers that the storyline isn't over but if it indeed isn't you don't need to worry because they always go back and discuss things that have already happend. So people who haven't seen it before are in no disadvantage.

I am with you on this elie06, I think Ziva is great (especially last night), and she adds a new dynamic to the show, I was a fan of Caitlin and have watched the show since the beginning (from the Jag crossover), though I will miss Caitlin, I honestly think that Ziva is a good replacement (sort of mischievous), and over more episodes will really develop as a great character for the show.
Last night when they went to the Safety Deposit Box place, and a she entered then had that feeling of someone watching, then dismissed it as being to long a Mossad Agent, only for us to see the binocular outline as they walked in ... brilliant stuff ... at that point it had me thinking: Ah, the Hamas are watching her (still possible I guess, with her dad mentioned and all the Ari stuff).
Always been a fan of Donald Bellisario's stuff, from Quantum Leap to this, always follows through with the goods in my books, and there is always more going on than we really know (or are lead to know), in the shows he is involved in.
Like last night, when after beening pushed in the fountain and Ziva said to Gibbs and Co: "If I had of had my weapons, it would not of happened," then at the end how she had them and took out three people ... great follow through and writing ... plus most times you are left thinking (like I said above, was it really the Civil War people who were watching them at the Safety Deposit Box Place, or the Hamas).
Really looking forward to the rest of this season (that is obvious I guess).
Didn't like Ziva much to begin with ,she was so serious. But last night her character became more light hearted and Ive started to warm to her. Prefer her over the uptight cate by a long shot.

same! I thought she was a bit uptight in the first ep or two but this week she was great. the kidding in the lift with Gibbs was good to see, and I liked her banter with Tony. And the scene in the van had me cracking up.
I think she'll make a fine addition to the team if she keeps it up.
