Ten's new Aussie medical drama, The Surgeon, will debut 9.30pm Thursday October 13th.

This one is abit different in that it goes for only 30 minutes, once a week, and has a top cast including Justine Clarke, Sam Worthington, Matthew Newton and Nicholas Bell.

It will be followed by '30 Days' at 10pm, a docu-reality show by Morgan Spurlock, the maker of the hit doco Super Size Me. Spurlock and his fiance Alex take a new challenge when they leave their New York lifestyle and work on the minimum US wage of $5.15 per hour, for 30 days.

For all you Apprentice Fans out there season for starts on Tuesday, 4 October, 2005 channel 9 at 10.30pm.

TV Stations can be careless Sometimes, They take off shows which don't rate well in Primetime and benched it and never Return or until Summer  for a limited run and maybe air it in the Daytime if lucky.

Whats with Oprah at the moment? They are repeating shows that were only on a few months ago!

There's big news for 7th Heaven Fans if you got Foxtel or Austar Digital, Season 8 of the show Premieres tonight (October 4) at 7:30p.m. on FOX 8. 2 hours later on Timeshift.

Yeah its great that 7th heaven is back on, at least on foxtel/austar.
We will finally get to see the rest of season 8!!!
It good to see newer episodes again.

Also, The OC season 1 is on Foxtel and Austar on ARENA, Wednesdays at 9.30pm.

But bad for Charmed Fans is that Ten has Removed the show from Friday Nights. What? Why? Charmed was getting back on Track on Ten then Suddenly Ten Yanked it again, I know what's wrong with Ten's lousy Friday Night Schedule, they're going to put annoying Simpsons Repeats in Charmed's Timeslot on October 14.

If Nine is Ever going to Revive airing it's Forgettable Drama Series Smallville (which Currently Third with Adults 18-49 in the US and airing on Thursday Nights at 8p.m./7p.m. Central on The WB), they'll have to air 2 Episodes Late at Night this Summer to see if they can get an audience.

Yeah i think they should bring back the 7.30 Gilmore Girls/Smallville Saturday Line up on Channel 9 and 7th Heaven at 6.30 on channel 10.

I've Found out that over in the US that the WB's New Thursday line up of Smallville and Everwood are doing better on Thursday Nights. Last Week Smallville was the WB's most watched show in the Ratings. Maybe Nine are Starting to think about Reviving Smallville and airing the show twice a week and into Season 3 because Nine are yet to play the rest of Season 2, In January Last Year Smallville was on Saturday Nights at 8:30p.m. but Failed to get an Audience and looks like now Nine could air Smallville out of Primetime.

That would be great. We loved Smallville - yet another program to just disappear "without a trace", like Charmed and others.

King Of Queens will probably return it has been at that 7pm timeslot in Summer every year  

The Nanny, Seinfeld and Becker have all failed in the 6.30pm Summer timeslot, so i'm kinda wondering what Ten will replace Neighbours with during the holiday period.

Ten should Give an One Hour Drama a try in the 6:30p.m. Timeslot during the Summer while Neighbours takes a Break. Would we see 7th Heaven on a Weeknight again and Network Ten has to fix up it's Friday Night at 7:30p.m. Problems with annoying Simpsons Repeats, Ten has to Resurrect either 7th Heaven or One Tree Hill to air on Friday Nights to break the Curse.

I really hope Channel 7 bring back Scrubs and Malcolm in the Middle will be continue to be shown on saturday on 9 during the ratings season. They are two absolute gems which I think the networks seemed to have unnoticed.  

It would seem this week is the last week for Malcolm in the Middle. To be replaced by Australia's Funniest Videos. GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!! Do we really need to see endless people getting hit in the head/face/balls with various things, people falling over, people crashing into things, all with a stupid voice over guy? Honestly, Channel 9, if oyu won't even try, give Malcolm in the Middle to Channel 10. As has been proven with Smallville and OC, they might perhaps be able to pull in the ratings.

And Scrubs. Yes! Bring it back! And in a decent time slot. People won't watch it if you don't advertise it and then move the show to late night because it doesn't rate! You did it to Futurama, and it seems to be going fine on 10, again, give this show to 10.

I doubt it would happen any time soon. The ratings on primetime were worse than programmes which air in early morning timeslots. However the first season DVD set is out this week.

Ten has to work something out, they can't just leave it Hanging on.

We don't have a programming news thread so I thought i'd kick start one with the latest scheduling from Seven.

Grey's Anatomy returns Monday June 19 9:30pm following Desperate Housewives.

24 returns Wednesday June 21 9:30pm with a 2 hour premiere. There will be 2 more episodes following Lost on Thursday June 22 9:30pm. From this point onwards 24 will screen twice a week in the Wednesday 9:30 timeslot and Thursday 9:30 timeslot.

My Name Is Earl and How I Met Your Mother premiere Wednesday June 21. Beyond Tomorrow has been scrapped with HIMYM taking the 7:30 timeslot and MNIE the 8:00 timeslot.

So just to clarify, the new Seven line-up for Wednesdays will be:

7:30 How I Met Your Mother
8:00 My Name Is Earl
8:30 Prison Break
9:30 24

Not hard to predict the Wednesday changes though. "Grey's" probably would rate higher on Sundays at 8:30 p.m. It can face "CSI" as ABC just moved it to compete against "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" for the new US fall season. The latter episodes of season two of "Grey’s Anatomy" were a ratings powerhouse in the US..

mmm, commander in chief cant have many more eps to go after it was canned the USA, only 19 eps were ever made and ABC in the US is currently burning off the remaining few eps in the summer non ratings period, shame, it wasnt a bad show!  I thought 7 might have used Greys or something to prop up Sunday nights..

With the "identity" of "David Tench" being revealed during the Big Brother Finale, maybe the Tench show will take one of the spots currently filled by Big Brother? Or it may premiere immediately after the Finale show, in the Monday 9.30 slot?

After posting that yesterday, I realised it is probably unlikely to feature in the Monday 9.30 slot, as that is when Enough Rope airs.

I dont think they are revealing his identity for sure during the BB finale. I think that was one person thought - so they posted it on wikipedia. Not confirmed yet.

A final batch of episodes have been produced and Wheel will end its run on July 28, 2006, just one week after celebrating 25 years on Australian television. I'm getting tired with all these Queer Eye Repeats at Midday, what about half of Season Nine of Seventh Heaven that we have'nt seen yet, will Ten ever play them and air Repeats of Previous Seasons later in the year as welll as Summerland Season 2?

Summerland... ugh, please no! I'm not home for most of the day anyway, so I don't care what's on at midday. Get a DVD or download your favorite shows and watch them instead.

It's probably because of the grand final which doesn't finish till about 6pm.

Maybe so. Also, Seven will be airing Kill Bill Volume 1 next Wednesday at 9.30pm. It carries the AV15+ rating. Does anybody know if the movie will be cut? I would find it quite unsettling if they aired an uncut R18+ movie on free-to-air TV.

Anyway, I've been wanting to watch this movie for ages, so I guess this is my chance. Unless I wait another 7 months.

Kill Bill 1 was R18? I can't recall any scene that is not suitable for today's teens.

Yup it was beginning of season 2 they changed it,I remember lots of Monk fans going nuts over it. The original was better but I don't mind 'It's a jungle out there',it's ok.

I remember because they had an episode where they played the old theme music. It was the one where the TV star was killed.

I noticed that Out of Practice was cancelled in the US after One Season. So i think that's a good idea for Ten to air it at 6:30p.m.

Depends on ratings there about Summerland. I don't think that it would rate well.

Anyone know why there is no episodes of Earl or HIMYM next week? Is seven giving both programs a week off(a dbl episode of bones  and an episode of celebrity survivor,which is airing in the normal 7:30-8Pm timeslot of earl and himym).

This is according to yourtv.com.au , not sure what other program listings are for the 28th at that time.

I don't think 7th Heaven or Summerland (or the return of One Tree Hill) will be played until the Summer non-ratings period, unless they put it in a really late timeslot or during the day on Sat/Sun?

Apparently SEVEN are trying to attract more viewers to Bones, and it will go back to normal the following week.

I can't believe the number of people here requesting Summerland. I can see why it was cancelled. And if the ratings were low in the US, chances are that they're going to be even lower here (proportionally) because the momentum of the series would have been lost as the series has no future. Ten might air it on a late-night timeslot though.

Stupid move again by Ten to air Out of Practice. It sounds like a crappy show, and seeing as it got cancelled, I'm not surprised. They probably bought the rights to it last year before they realized that it was a huge mistake. The ratings WILL be shockingly bad. They'll realize that and give us a double helping of The Simpsons or Raymond next week.

Apparantly, 13 new episodes of 7th Heaven have been ordered due to the show's popularity. Ten would most likely air any episodes they have left during the non-ratings period. Couldn't care for the show. Although I used to watch it sometimes, it came off as overly preachy. And I can't stand those god forsaken twins. Ugh.

May be just for now on Criminal Intent, as there is only one epidode left in Season 5 (hence the all new I guess), then after next week I assume it will be repeats ... unless they start showing Season 6 straight away. It started this week in the US and is a ripper episode I must say, if this is the standard of Season 6 to come, then it will be a shame to see it get buried (like NYPD Blue did after it went to Saturday's).

Sadly, if ANY show is buried on a Saturday on Ten, it's bound to fail. I never really cared for CI though. The only episode I watched recently was the one wher Whoopi Goldberg guest starred.

have ch 10 released anything except the tv ad about the OC airing in syncwith the us airdates????? like a press release or nething explaining why they are doing it, as i am confused.

In the US, they've tried airing new episodes of The O.C. straight after American Idol, and although AI attracts around 30-40 million viewers, The O.C. barely managed around the 5-6 million mark, so it REALLY hasn't helped its ratings at all.

Real Stories and The Wedge should be wrapping up soon, so it would be likely for The O.C. to be returning to its original timeslot. I wonder if they'll air a repeat of the last season finale before airing the premiere...?
