Why, how does it affect you in any way? It's become such a trend to "hate" Big Brother. Pathetic.

Don't know either kiwi, if theres a show on TV I don't like, I just don't bother watching it. Anyone would think these people are forced to watch BB

This thread is about programming and people are entitled to their opinions.  As long as they keep it respectful, who cares whether they watch it or not?  BB is, in my opinion, trash, but just because Aqua or I or anyone else despise it doesn't make us pathetic, any more that it makes you pathetic for watching it.

Because peoples programming tastes are what has lost BB, as in, they watch other shows.

Paula don't talk to me about being respectful.

That's the best they could do with the 7pm timeslot   What they have something "extra special" planned for the olympics? Season 1 of The Simpsons?

I can't believe they're still rolling off that wedge spinoff..... HELL I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY KICKED IT OFF.

Nor can I believe that lame Aussie moron 'Mark' is still on TV with his show... Mark loves Sharon! Does anybody watch this show? Please please please get rid of it NOW. What a bucket load, no make that a tip truck load! I absolutely hate shows that are supposed to be funny that are woefully NOT funny and that make the typical Aussie male look like a complete drongo! Network 10 so often make very very bad programming choices. Blind freddy could tell 'Mark loves himself Sharon' was going to be a dead loss.

Bondi Rescue has already drowned! 10 will put The Simpsons back in it's traditional spot a 6pm and move friends to 7pm, this should greatly free up 10's editing booth and add about five minutes to each episode

Hey, I'd be glad if they played Season 1 of The Simpsons. As far as I can remember, Ten hasn't played season 1 in at least 8 years, possibly 10 (or more, as I can't remember that far back).

The last season 1 episode they've ever played was Life in the Fast Lane where Marge developed an infatuation towards bowler Jacques (Albert Brooks), which was aired during a 2.5 hour special featuring Aussie "celebs" blabbing on about their favourite episodes earlier this decade (which aired alongside three other episodes, including Homer The Heretic, Girly Edition and another one which I can't remember since I wasn't home that night).

I think it'll be a nice change to see the earlier episodes of The Simpsons rather than seasons 5-13 which Ten seem to air on a constant loop. For God's sake, they have over 400 episodes of The Simpsons at their disposal. They have absolutely NO excuse for airing any episode more than once a year.

CONCLUDES 11AM AEDST SUNDAY!!!
ENCORES NOW SHOWING IN THE ON DEMAND SECTION!

Nine network considering Big Brother revival

July 28, 2008 12:00am

HE single-handedly revived Channel Nine so it makes sense that if anyone can breathe life back into the Big Brother franchise it is David Gyngell.

The Nine head honcho who stopped by Brisbane recently, believes the axed reality series will one day be back on screens and he confirmed the show is definitely on his radar.

"I think it is an iconic program but the way it is now it will not be back on television in Australia. But the concept - there is definitely something in that," he says.

"Every show that has delivered the younger demographics that that show did, for so long, has to be dealt with with respect. It was the king."

A fan of the series during the show's eight-year run, Gyngell admitted he watched the show soar to ratings success with a tinge of dread. After all - he passed on the show back in 2000.

"I wanted to cut my throat every night for five years," he quipped.

As for another smash-hit show that caught him by surprise, Gyngell says he was blindsided by Seven's ratings behemoth Dancing With The Stars.

"I never thought it was as good as it turned out to be. It's well done, it's well produced. It's a great idea," he says.

"But as you get older you don't let as many go through to the keeper now."

How's he "revived" 9? Everything on it is complete pig swill! Aren't they still being beaten by 7?
