Do people think the networks here will now fast-track more shows this year? I know with the Writers Strike it has left them with alot less content for the beginning of the year. Fast-tracking from Sept/Oct would at least help them fill the end of the year a bit easier.

The Weakest Link to return?  With her!  Arrgh!

Gretel Killeen linked to Weakest Link hosting gig
February 08, 2008 10:30pm

SHE proved to be the weakest link in the Big Brother overhaul but it's not yet time to go for TV's hostess with the mostess, Gretel Killeen.

Confidential understands Channel 7 is in negotiations with the bolshy presenter to front the resuscitated quiz show The Weakest Link.

Formerly hosted by the haughtily dismissive Cornelia Frances until it was "shelved indefinitely" in April 2002, The Weakest Link initially proved a ratings hit for Seven when the local version of the UK show first appeared in 2001.

The network was staying tight-lipped on their rumoured star signing yesterday, but the ink on the contract is almost dry, according to one insider.

"As far as I'm aware the show is coming back and Gretel is doing it," the TV source told Confidential...

Gretel should be great in that role, she does "dismissive b****" well, although I did like Cornelia. I always liked the fast paced Weakest Link, should be good if its in a slot with little competition.

I have a soft spot for Gretel and will probably watch her in anything. But it will freak me out a little seeing her on a rival network. I feel the same way as I did when Dicko left Ten...

I think Gretel should return to tv, but I dont think The Weakest Link is the strongest show for her to return to, I cant see it lasting very long

I really think Gretel would be great in a talk show or even news program. She is a very intelligent woman and a great interviewer.

Old folks will remember her on Nine's Late News many years ago

Gretel has the personality of a dead duck, no offence to ducks.  I cannot stand her.

No I haven't, nor do I want to.

Yes I did watch BB (in the early days).  She was so rude to one of the contestants, so "up herself", as if her poop doesn't stink...

Mine doesn't, so I can say that.

Apparently that story regarding Gretel Killeen hosting a remake of 'The Weakest Link' is not true. I read a story recently that Channel 7 denied it totally.
