I'm not joking. Rove isn't funny, never was.  The Wedge has some funny bits in it, unlike Rove.

ZOMG!!!

... How can you say something like that!

Paula has been stricken off my Christmas card list

I think they are both pretty even, they both have funny bits in them.

OMG Sillygostly, I love you! The Wedge to me was even worse than Russell Coight (?) and he was/is the bottom of the slime pit. The Wedge was never funny and the people in it were crap. That's my rant over with!

the Wedge and Rove were/are as bad as each other.  I think the word appalling is a good descriptive adjective where these two are concerned.

Hey it had its moments, basically all the funny bits were used in the ads.. but that was good.
I liked the wedge having a website.

So its Rove Vs. The Wedge is it?
Rove is just a host, and sometimes manages a bit of wit, but the show is really just meant to be amusing and disposable, which it is for me.

The Wedge is fully scripted and planned and presumably meant to be reasonably funny, but its just so unoriginal and lame, and just plain freaking awful. Not to mention the pathetic production values. At least Rove looks like it was made by professionals. I'm afraid I don't recall it having any moments.

Sure people have different tastes and all that, but I can't help but feel The Wedge is just plain crap.

And on a final note, may I just say The Wedge is a steaming pool of cockroach bile.

Jebus I just saw an ad for the wedge and they're reusing Borat material

Does the laugh track they use consist solely of Ian McFadyen

Tonight was quite different to last year, there was a live audience and the look is much more slick than last year. The scenes aren't repeated as much either, Lucy was only in two scenes the whole show (which was actually two new episodes which surprised me).

The Singing Bee

Are you a show-off?

Think you could sing in front of a crowd?

The Singing Bee is a new program where contestants are challenged to sing the exact lyrics to well-known songs. It doesn’t matter how good your voice is, you just need to know the right words or at least have a go...

The Singing Bee

Eew... just... eew...

What the hell is it with Nine and producing local content that costs almost NOTHING to produce?

Thankfully, no (although I missed some of the 2nd episode). I only watched it out of curiosity, and God help me the show can actually improved since last season (shame I can't say the same about Neighbours). The production values are noticably better and the writing has *somewhat* improved, although the jokes still feel a little too "obvious" (i.e. dumbed down).

Thankfully, most of the repetitive jokes have been dropped, and there were a few chuckle-worthy moments. For some reason, some sketches felt like a rip-off from a show/movie that I've never watched.

There are still some downsides to the show though...
* Dumbed down jokes
* Some gags are STILL repeated, although not nearly as much as the first series
* The Shane Warne knock-off is back
* Some skits were cringeworthy
* That fat loser from S**thouse is a new cast member
* The laugh track is still present, BUT it doesn't sound as bad as last year's laugh track
* You feel embarrassed watching the show

Damn I miss the Sketch Show.
