Hi,
Does anyone else remember the american sitcom Newsradio? What channel was it on? Does anyone know if there is any chance of them putting back repeats? |

I have a vague recollection of Newsradio being on late at night on Ch 7 about 5 to 7 years ago, phil. However, I have a memory like a sieve and it's quite possible it wasn't Newsradio at all but something similar.
Your most likely bet for repeats of any kind is cable.

Oh, okay! Must have been thinking of something else. Actually, I think it was that annoying show which the woman who is the voice of Bart Simpson was in. Turns out she speaks like that in real life!
What was the name of it again? |

| No, it didn't have the voice of Lisa in it, I think you are thinking of Dharma and Greg, but she does speak like that in real life. I know they made it after Phil Hartman died, but only for one more season, cos it wasn't nearly as good. |

Nah, the show I'm thinking of was on way before Dharma & Greg was even conceived (although the actor, Yeardley Smith, was in both series).
This is a photo of Yeardley Smith, the voice of Lisa (not Bart, my mistake) Simpson.

Just looked it up over at IMDB. The series I was thinking of is called "Herman's Heads". Phew, glad I sorted that out! |

Okay, Newsradio was on 10, they made 1 or 2 more seasons after Phil Hartman died, but then it was ended. I don't think it'll ever be on free-to-air here in Australia again, which is a shame, it was one of my favourite shows when it was on.
Yes, "Herman's Head" had the woman who does Lisa's voice on it. I don't remember much of the show (I was really young when it was on).
No, Nancy Cartwright (voice of Bart) doesn't sound like Bart in real life, and I've seen her change from normal voice to Bart's voice, and seeing that voice come out of that woman is kind of strange, but she's good at it. In fact, she does voices for several characters in the show, all male. |

Channel 10 showed the first 2 seasons ONLY (there were 3 seasons in total) with The Comedy Channel on (Foxtel) showing all 3 seasons. To the best of my knowledge 10 has NEVER screened the 3rd season of Newsradio(and it wasn't that great either- no Phil Hartman ).

Hi
Newsradio was on Channel 10. The final 2 seasons were never screened by Channel 10. But that is normal behaviour for Channel 10. They did continue to make the show without Phil Hartman but the series was cancelled shortly later.
Herman's Head was the name of that other show that screened on Channel 7 and starred Yeardly Smith.
Speaking of Dharma and Greg, I wish Channel 7 would screen the last remaining episodes of the final season.

Ch.10 showed Seasons 1 and 2 of Newsradio....but not the 3rd(and have never shown it either). AARON |
