The reason that Christine was not on Sunday night's show was because she and John Paul Young quit. The Seven Executives complained that the judges were too nice, and that's why Trevor, the record executive, has taken her place.
John Paul Young was fired because the executives "didn't like him".

I think its good they quit. Channel 7 just want this whole ordeal to be over and done with. I bet they're regreting their decision to go ahead with it all now. Paul just got fed up with all the losers on & off the show while Christine's manager probably advised her to leave if she wanted to have a snowball in hell's chance in reviving her career with a 'My island home (2004 remix)'.

Yeah the sooner this crappy attempt at a show goes the better. Even the judges can see the end of the line.

Think the judges were way too nice. It just looked ridiculous at times the way they were praising contestants, when they were clearly very hopeless. I don't mean to be rude, but would anyone pay money to see sarah live? Really I think they need to get serious and stop treating the public like idiots...and pretending all the contestants have this 'great talent'. I think they have already picked the winners kane and miranda. To think they are going to have 8 more weeks of this. And each week only going to eliminate one person... the agony of it all. Just as well Christine Anu did quit because it was beginning to affect her reputation.

Your right Cando. Hopefuly they cut their losses and have a 'Special Edition' elimination round where eliminate 7 contestants at once. That would be awesome!, I would definitely watch it then.

They are changing their time slot as from next week.
It will now be shown on Saturday night rather than against American Idol on Sunday night. They must have had rocks in their head to put a show like that against American Idol.
But the show will remain <edit> as it is too late to fix it, no matter what they do with it. Who ever did put it togheter in the first place should go back to television school.
