Winfrey to launch O magazineFriday 14 January 2000

Popular daytime talkshow host Oprah Winfrey (seen here on the Ten Network) has finally decided on the name of her new monthly magazine: O - The Oprah Magazine.
The title came as a result of intensive feedback from several focus groups. It will launch on April 17 with an initial distribution of 850,000 copies.
"What I like about O is that it is simple and direct, and it is what a lot of my friends call me" says Oprah.
