Will They or Won't They?Friday 22 August 1997 By eBroadcast Staff and agencies.
Tim Ferguson is still waiting to see if Channel Nine will give him the go-ahead for the new late-night entertainment show with the working title Girl Friday, which was piloted at Nine's Melbourne studios last month.
Executive producer Peter Wynn is hopeful as network chiefs review the pilot. He said "it's one of the most refreshing shows I've been involved with in the last couple of years."
The show is aimed at the 18-39 demographic market. This is a market that followed Tim when he hosted Don't Forget Your Toothbrush so the same people will most probably be loyal watchers.
I just hope if it does come off that it doesn't be another long commercial for the Crown Casino. In Melbourne Tonight and are both reaching the saturation point when it comes to the Casino.
