Who Killed Sallie-Anne?Wednesday 9 August 2000 By eBroadcast Staff and agencies.
Michael Willesee reopens a baffling fourteen-year-old murder mystery, which lets the victim tell her own story in the special presentation Who Killed Sallie-Anne?
In 1982, Sallie-Anne Huckstepp, a prostitute turned police informer, revealed to Willesee in front of a camera that she believed she would be murdered after blowing the whistle on Sydney's police corruption and Kings Cross' underworld. Less than four years later police pulled her body out of a pond in Sydney's Centennial Park. No one has ever been convicted of the crime.
At the time, Willesee was unable to put the story to air for legal reasons. But now, for the first time on television, Sallie-Anne can finally tell her story.
Who Killed Sallie-Anne? airs on Tuesday August 22 at 9.30pm on the Seven Network.
