Just Shoot Me! is a new series starring George Segal, Lauran San Giacomo and David Spade (8.00pm, Channel 10). Set in the New York editorial offices of 'Blush' magazine, the story of the strained father-daughter relationship between Maya Gallo, an accomplished journalist with a razor-sharp sarcastic wit and her estranged father Jack, a chronic womanizer who is also the successful publisher of 'Blush'. After quitting her job as a newswriter, Maya approaches her father for help and reluctantly accepts the job he offers her at the magazine.
The X-Files (8.30pm, Channel 10) starts the season with the season four cliffhanger Gethesmane and then continues with Redux. In flashback, we re-live Mulder and Scully's search for the truth when an anthropologist discovers what could be the frozen remains of extraterrestrial life. Mulder accesses a secret research facility that may hold a cure for Scully's illness and reveal the truth behind a governmental cover-up.
