Top 10 TV Sitcom Dorks, Nerds, Morons, Geeks AnnouncedWednesday 14 July 1999 By eBroadcast Staff and agencies.
Nothing makes you feel better than watching someone who's a bigger idiot than you...
These are our favorite characters who either have their heads in the clouds and never know what's going on, can't seem to do anything right no matter what, or are just plain geeky. You know the kind. The characters that make say the stupidest, most painful things possible and you have to laugh at them, not with them.
We've taken some characters from the past and some from the present, and there's even one who pulled himself up by the bootstraps from Geekville to make it into the cool crowd. If you come up with any we may have missed, or if you think one of our picks is not worthy of such a distinguished title, let us know. Click here to tell us about your inner geek.

10. Buddy Buddy was the character from Charles in Charge who always relied on Charles to bail him out of his zany, girl-chasing antics. If you remember this show, you remember Buddy. Very airy!
9. Joey It was hard to choose between Ross "The Geek," Phoebe "The Ditz," and Joey "The Airhead," but Joey necked out the other two at the finish line. This guy is usually as smart as a box of rocks. We often wonder how that the Friends writers can create dialogue that makes him sound so stupid. Kudos.
8. Urkle Family Matters' Urkle is perhaps the biggest dork/nerd in our list, but it's because we think he is so annoying that he didn't receive a higher ranking. The words, "Did I do that?" haunt us still, and several people have sought treatment to rid their psyche of this disturbing phrase so commonly used by this geek. We don't know how Carl can let a day go by without bitch-slapping him.
7. Carlton The "White Man's Dance" that Carlton performs on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air is hilarious. And the fact that he loves Tom Jones just tells you what kind of mentality this geek has. He's a great supporting nerd to the cool Will Smith.
6. Matthew NewsRadio had a great dork in Matthew. This flamboyant, effeminate guy makes us laugh at his quirky comments and actions. The funny thing about him was that he thought he was smart and suave, but oh, au contraire.
5. David Silver Here's our geek-turned-cool (in the eyes of the other characters in 90210, that is). Back in the day at Beverly High, Silver was the king of the dorks, but as soon as he hooked up with Donna, things started looking on up. And up. Now, he's got babes surrounding him, and at one point had a recording contract. Way to go Dave! Keep up the good work.

4. Oswald and Lewis Yeah, it's two for the price of one again, but this duo from The Drew Carey Show never fails to make us giggle. Oswald is the goofy dope, Lewis the weird straight man, and we don't know who's whose sidekick. But really, no matter which way you slice it, these two are geek love at its finest.
3. Paul If you've ever seen The Wonder Years, you know that Paul is one of the most stereotypical geeks in television history. He's awkward, nerdy, and awesome. We like this guy.
2. Milhouse The Simpsons' Milhouse is a classic dork. He's obsessed with Lisa (who just barely missed our list) and can't get a break in any episode. He is our vote for the geek most likely to be picking people off with a sniper rifle from the top of the clock tower. Knowing Milhouse, however, he'd probably end up shooting himself in the foot before he got anyone else.

1. George Castanza Absolutely our number one pick for the Top 10 biggest geeks, nerds, morons, and airheads on television. George is the type of guy who makes you cringe at some of the idiotic stuff he does or moronic things he says. He was a total necessity to Seinfeld and we couldn't imagine watching the old reruns without him. Too bad he doesn't have enough appeal to have his own spin-off. (And if you were wondering, Cosmo Kramer is not a geek. He's the bomb shelter!)
