After a controversial time on Nine's footy team, Tim Lane has returned to commercial TV via Network Ten.
In his new role, Lane will call Saturday night AFL games and the finals series exclusively for Ten.
With his move to Ten, he leaves both ABC Radio and Television.
"I am delighted to have the chance to join Network Ten’s football team at this time when, for personal reasons, it was right for me to leave the ABC." says Lane.
“Having enjoyed TEN’s AFL debut in 2002, I am thrilled at the prospect of being a part of it for the next three years. I wish to express my gratitude to the Network’s management for giving me that opportunity, as I do to the ABC and its audience for the opportunities and privilege I have enjoyed over 30 years."
