The Sopranos, the Emmy Award-winning series that has taken the US by storm, premieres with a special movie-length episode on Sunday, October 24 at 8.30pm on Channel Nine and continues Thursday's at 9.30pm from October 28.

With an incredible ensemble cast and critical raves from the US press, The Sopranos has become a must-watch for American audiences with an unprecedented 16 nominations at this year's Emmy Awards. Produced by Emmy Award-winning writer/producer David Chase ("The Rockford Files", "I'll Fly Away") and filmed on location in New York and New Jersey, The Sopranos updates the mob story to give a glimpse into the everyday life of a modern day "Godfather".

Nine will also launch The Sopranos website on Ninemsn from October 14.
