The Devil Made Her Do ItMonday 9 October 2000 By eBroadcast Staff and agencies.
In a move to ditch her nice girl image, actor Jennifer Love Hewitt has signed on to play the devil opposite Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin in a contemporary remake of the classic tale The Devil and Daniel Webster.
The new version will focus on New York's literary world with Baldwin as an unsuccessful writer who sells his soul to the devil in exchange for 10 years of bestselling books. When the 10 years pass by, Baldwin turns to Hopkins, a powerful publisher, in an attempt to breach the contract.
Hewitt is best known for her roles in Party of Five, I Know What You Did Last Summer and Can't Hardly Wait.
