Australian television comedy could be having a comeback (not that it really ever went away) as a number of new shows are on their ways to our screens.

• Micallef. Shaun Micallef's new sketch comedy show on the ABC started to mixed reviews, but as one of the zanier ex-members of Full Frontal, he could turn the show into a cult favourite.

• The Russell Gilbert Show. Gilbert was the postie on The Comedy Company, and is currently one of the Hey Hey It's Saturdayteam. If his sketch comedy special to be screened on Channel 9 (20/5) does well in the ratings, it could lead to more specials down the track.

• McFeast. That Gorr girl may have misfired with McFeast Live, but in a recent interview on E! (12 /5) she said that she would continue on with her series of "specials". But after specials on breasts and bottoms, where do you go? (don't answer that!)

• Untitled Show from Ex-Fast Forward Girls. In an episode of The Panel, earlier this year, Glenn Robbins revealed that Jane Turner, Gina Riley, Magda Szubanski and Marg Downey were preparing a sketch comedy show, of which, he had a small part.

  (the above show will screen on Ch7. Ch10 have also commissioned a new series of Fast Forward, cast as yet unknown. -ED).
