The Brady Bunch ExposedTuesday 14 September 1999 By eBroadcast Staff and agencies.
Although The Brady Bunch finished its run in May 1974, it has become one of the most popular syndicated shows in the history of television with spinoffs on all three major American networks, theatre productions and 2 modern day movies.
To celebrate the phenomenon that is The Brady Bunch, Network Ten will air a special "documentary" on Sunday 26 September entitled The Brady Bunch Exposed.
The 3 hour installment will be hosted by former E-Street and Sex/Life star Alyssa-Jane Cook and will explore the sitcom's shakey beginnings as a semi-popular, though critically maligned, family sitcom into a cottage industry that included pop music, variety shows, movie specials, remakes, self-parodies and ultimately, syndication.
The special also uncovers the behind the scenes drama's, including Robert Reed's (aka Mike) hiding of his homosexuality, and the rampant hormones as puppy love developed on the set between the young co-stars.
