The Ten Network have finally announced a timeslot for its most recent purchase, Good News Week.
The debate/comedy/variety show, hosted by Paul McDermott and featuring former ABCer's Mikey Robins and Julie McCrossin, will debut in the most crucial timeslot available on commercial television - Sunday at 7.30pm starting 21 March.
It is still unclear what Ten will do with the agreed "extended-variety" show that was part of the GNW deal. Rumours have suggested a Saturday 6.30pm timeslot.
In other Ten developments, reports today that Mick Molloy is nearing closer to signing a major contract with the Ten Network to develop comedy content. It is unclear whether former on-air radio partner Tony Martin will be involved in the new show(s).
As reported in the Sofcom TV Guide last November, strong buzzes of Martin-Molloy/Channel Ten partnerships have been circulating Melbourne production houses ever since the popular duo quit their number one national radio program.
