Nine might be devoting 25 hours of live coverage to the new Millennium, but Ten reckon 4 1/2 hours of Video Hits will do.
Totally Wild's Sami Lukis will host a special edition of Video Hits and will take viewers through all the 'funkiest sounds' that have shaped our lives over the last 40 years, highlighting every style of music imaginable.
Throughout the broadcast there will be New Year messages from 'some of the biggest music stars on the planet" (yet confirmed) as well as Network Ten celebrities.
Telemall Shopping follows at 3.00am.
