Strassman, David Strassman's new talk show debuts this week. The popular ventriloquist and his two sidekicks, Chuck Wood and Ted E. Bear will yakkety yak with the likes of Derryn Hinch, Jackie Weaver, Lillian Frank and Dermott Brereton.

According to a report in the Melbourne Herald Sun (7/10), Brereton nearly ended Chuck's career when he overreacted and kicked Chuck in the head. (Hope they show that!). Brereton, a former Hawthorn football player and leading goal-kicker, caused so much damage to Chuck, that the cheeky offsider was sidelined for two days while repairs took place. "Physically, we had to push Chuck's mouth back into his head" said Strassman.
