As reported in recent newspaper and magazine articles, this has been Steve Vizard's year.
The Order of Australia, a new child, a seat on the Telstra Board and a very high-ranking role in the Republican movement is now being topped off with the news that his company, Artist Services, had received 10 nominations and an award for Excellence and Achievement in Television Production in this year's Australian Film Institute Awards.
Just to remind you of what Artist Services has achieved this year, just take a gander at their nominations:
Simone De Beauvoir's Babies, Kangaroo Palace, and The Wayne Manifesto are all nominated.
Good onya, Steve and the rest of the staff at Artist Services. You do make some very good television shows and should be honored for your efforts and achievements.
Now only if the television industry itself would restructure the Logies and join the rest of the world in paying tribute to our own industry by having the industry honor its own. But no, we still have TV Week, as the official Logies sponsor and vote-getter.
