No doubt about it, the foul-mouthed, anti-social brats from South
Park have conquered Australia. Cartman, Kenny and company
are in store windows everywhere and don't be surprised if Santa
delivers something South Park in your stocking this
Christmas.
Recently NW magazine produced a special issue
devoted entirely to the crudely animated cult show and axed TV host,
Frank Holden, conceded that the popularity of South
Park lead to the demise of I.M.T.
"What really hurt us was South Park and we just didn't
recover" he said in the Melbourne Herald Sun (14/11).
Get ready for Chef Aid, the South Park album to
hit the charts, and if you think that you look like one of the characters
on the show, a Melbourne nightclub is hosting a look-alike contest.
South Park could also be the surprise winner at The
People's Choice Awards which screens soon. Nominated in the
Kids' Choice Award for Favourite TV Show category, the adult
orientated, M-Rated show could be a controversial winner.
