Okay, we knew the Brits were uptight, but changing the name of a school because it’s the same as a raunchy American cartoon is a bit much. It seems the cartoon has become a hit in England, due in large part to the British release of South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut.
The school, which has been renamed the Orchards, hopes the new name will distance it from Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s creation. ``We were aware there was a cartoon called South Park and that it was not a particularly nice cartoon,'' said school governor Alan Mayer.
Mayer added that he hopes the new name helps the students focus on their environment as well.
