Something So Wrong!Saturday 19 July 1997 By eBroadcast Staff and agencies.
Something So Right, the very funny sitcom seen here on the Ten Network on Wednesdays at 8pm following Mad About You, is not on the new U.S. line-up.
The U.S. network, NBC, canceled Something So Right just as the sharply written sitcom starring Jere Burns and Mel Harris started catching fire. The series finished the season with a respectable ranking, (38th among all shows), and Something So Right won its time period in four out of five subsequent rerun airings.
In its final two showings in the U.S., the show held on to virtually all of Mad About You's lead-in audience for the first time (and earned considerably higher ratings than NBC's hit 3rd Rock from the Sun). Ironically this sitcom didn't begin showing signs of life until its death warrant had been issued.
