Sofcom Australia's TV Guide ( http://www.sofcom.com.au/tv ) now contains schedules for regional Australia.
Sofcom's Australian TV Guide gives users complete and detailed programming for all free-to-air and cable channels, as well as community stations such as channel 31. Every capital city in the country is included, and regional areas are covered Australia-wide.
Sofcom's TV Manager, Esther Goldschlager, said today that Sofcom was utilising the Internet to provide a convenient service for the regional and rural areas.
"Regional Australians are so often disadvantaged in their daily lives by the tyranny of distance, so we have created something to 'get one back' for those living in regional Australia", Ms Goldschlager said.
"Consumers have to pay to utilise most of the high-quality information services available on the Internet, but Sofcom's Australian TV guide is free of charge", she added.
Following the success of Sofcom's MyTV! - a personalised, free TV guide - Sofcom has introduced its new guide to help parents choose responsible programs for their children. This Australian guide comes with a detailed ratings system, explaining each program's suitability for children.
"This convenient service gives busy people more time to do the important things, which after all, is what Internet services are all about".
