The ABC has high hopes of its new 6pm-7pm timeslot, with the debut of it’s new quiz show, Flashback on Monday January 17 at 6.00pm, followed by the nightly soap Something In The Air.
A co-production with Southern Star Concept, Flashback is being produced at ABC Adelaide and will be hosted by Philip Clark. The quiz show, a first for many years at the ABC, will involve contestants battling it out with world wide historical events that shaped our nation.
The series will come to a head as the top nine of the twelve weekly winners (based on scores accumulated over two nights) return to participate in the final week challenge play-off to find the Flashback Champion.
Following at 6.30pm is Something In The Air, a Monday to Thursday drama series by Beyond Simpson Le Mesurier. Filmed in Victoria, Something In The Air is described as a “warm Australian drama about some extraordinary people living ordinary lives in a small country town”.
The 6.30pm timeslot will mean viewers will have to decide between two homegrown soaps – with Ten also airing Neighbours at 6.30pm.
