Seven's Net chief floats the idea of a listingTuesday 30 November 1999 By eBroadcast Staff and agencies.
As reported in Sofcom's IT News today, Australia's Seven Network will probably float its on-line company, i7, according to the personal view of i7 md, Andrew Cohen.
Cohen on 29 November 1999 joined the board of business/finance content provider, Channel E Limited, in which Seven has a 12 per cent stake.
The companies recently enlisted David Koch's My Money Group to provide personal finance content for their proposed new website. i7 has also formed a link with Canadian Internet auction site developer, Demand Ventures, and has taken out 37.5 per cent of on-line retail operator, Digital One.
Seven's share price closed on 29 November 1999 $A00.04 up at $A5.17, while Channel E lost $A00.02 to $A00.60.
