The Seven Network today announced that it will be the official Australian Broadcaster of the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games.
Seven will broadcast 13 hours of the Games on free-to-air television, as well as another 13 hours on its Pay TV channel, C7. The agreement gives the network sole broadcasting rights of the Paralympic Games within Australia and was finalised after several months of discussions between Seven and Sydney team officials and 2000 media.
"Seven is delighted to have the opportunity to showcase this tremendous sporting event." said Seven's Director of Sports and the Olympics, Harold Anderson.
"The Seven Network will also support these Milennium Paralympics with coverage in the News, Today Tonight, The Games and Sportsworld." he continued.
