Wally Lewis, a former Brisbane Bronco Rugby League player, has joined National Nine News in Brisbane. Lewis will be reporting on sports and filing stories for the Rugby League Footy Show. Lewis was formerly a part-time sports presenter for Seven Nightly News in Brisbane.

He is not the first to go station-hopping to Nine Brisbane. Andrew 'Phippsy' Phipps, who was on Seven's Brownie's Coastwatch (Queensland only) defected to Nine and now has his own show, Hooked On Water. The new show will premiere this Saturday at 5.30 pm, just before National Nine News. Hooked On Water will focus on outdoor living covering fishing and boating.
