Seven Announces Olympic Closed Captioning ArrangementTuesday 13 July 1999

The Seven Network today announced plans to include closed captioning for all prime time Olympic free-to-air television coverage.
Closed captioning will be included on weekdays from 7.00pm to 11.00pm daily, and on weekends between 1.00pm and 11.00pm. The Opening and Closing Ceremonies will both fall into these timeslots.
"Incorporating closed captioning into our Olympic coverage is consistant with Seven's commitment to the hearing impaired," said Seven's Director of Sport and the Olympics, Harold Anderson.
