Seinfeld writers commit to new projectsMonday 18 October 1999 By eBroadcast Staff and agencies.
The Fox network in America has committed to six episodes of a sitcom project from former Seinfeld writers Alec Berg and Jeff Schaffer. The series is reportedly about a social recluse who's been a career student. After accidentally graduating, he suddenly finds himself tossed into the real world. Berg and Schaffer will shoot the pilot in January, with Seinfeld director Andy Ackerman taking the helm.
Fox has not yet decided whether to launch the show as a midseason replacement or hold it until 2000.
