It seems everyone from the axed Hey Hey, minus Daryl Somers, has their own spin-off show these days.
Channel Nine announced last night a weekly one-hour comedy show to be hosted by Hey Hey warm-up man Russell Gilbert.
Russell Gilbert Live has no official timeslot yet, but is believed to be gearing up for a Saturday night airing.
Gilbert hosted a 6-part comedy show, The Russell Gilbert Show, in late 1999 to a warm reception by audiences.
"We just want to go out and have some fun on television and I hope everyone will come along for the ride," says Gilbert.
