The Nine Network has announced that Russell Gilbert has signed on for a second series of Russell Gilbert Live, returning after the Olympic Games.

According to Russell, "I am really happy that the Network has stuck with the program. I've had a great time and I can't wait for a second series".

The unfunny program, which replaced the unfunny Hey Hey It's Saturday, has oddly become a Saturday night favourite, averaging over one million viewers each week since its debut in April.
