The ABC is bringing back two of their most successful and enjoyable shows to our screens.
Ruby Wax Meets.......
Thursday August 5, 8.30pm
*New Series*
The irrepressible Ruby Wax returns, following her successful interview with the Duchess Of York, to present an array of international celebrities in the second series of RUBY WAX MEETS...... on ABC TV Thursdays at 8.30p.m.
Ruby has once again gathered an all-star cast for her six-part second
series as she bravely goes where other interviewers fear to tread. With her sassy, upfront style, she produces some of the most revealing
interviews to date.
In this new series:
Thursday July 24 at 8.30p.m. In the series premiere, Ruby meets Sharon Stone - pyjama-clad movie star and international sex-icon.
Thursday July 31 at 8.30p.m. Ruby discovers that despite all the odds, heart-throb Jean Claude Van Damme has a sense of humour; and a brief encounter with Tom Hanks whose feigned hilarity quickly disintegrates when he admits he's never seen Ruby's show.
Thursday August 7 at 8.30p.m. she meets up again with one of the world's most glamorous and sexy mothers, Pamela Anderson, shopping for baby clothes. At the same time, Ruby attempts to matchmaker her own daughter Marina, with Pamela's son Brandon.
Once again, Ms Anderson passes on some of the sex tips that have made her marriage to Tommy Lee such a warm and stable institution.
Hetty Wainthropp Investigates
“A High Profile”
Series Return Saturday August 9, 7.30pm
Last year as Britain celebrated 60 years of television Patricia Routledge was voted the country's Favourite Actress in the Auntie's All Time Greats national poll. Viewers throughout Australia also impressed by the actress's body of work will be delighted to
hear that the multi-award winning Miss Routledge returns to ABC TV on Saturday August 9 at 7.30pm in new episodes of Hetty Wainthropp Investigates.
In this program titled “A High Profile,” the senior- citizen- turned-sleuth comes to the conclusion that rising costs and fewer cases will force the closure of her investigative agency unless she can raise its profile. So, never one to sit around and do nothing about a problem, Hetty and her offsider Geoffrey Shawcross (Dominic
Monaghan) set about raising their profile in a cheap but what proves to be most effective manner.
