Roseanne's John Goodman to play gay in new sitcomThursday 2 March 2000

John Goodman is returning to situation comedy on a fulltime basis - the first since Roseanne was cancelled.
Goodman, who played lovable Dan Connor on Roseanne, will return to the small screen in the next US season in a 30 minute sitcom. He tells American TV Guide magazine he will play a gay man.
"They pitched an idea, but to be fair we don't have a script yet or a cast. But all I know is I'm going to be gay." says Goodman.
The series will be from the producers of 3rd Rock From The Sun and will air on the Fox Network.
