In a kick-ass move, ER has added two certifiable hotties to the cast, Rebecca De Mornay (Risky Business, The Hand That Rocks the Cradle), and Maura Tierney (NewsRadio, Liar Liar). The addition of the two actresses is obviously an effort to add some much needed sex appeal. The once-mighty drama has lost a lot of its oomph since George Clooney bailed.
De Mornay has agreed, at least initially, to a five-episode stay but could certainly stick around (especially if her presence helps send ratings back to normal). Tierney hasn’t signed on the dotted line yet, but is rumored to be looking for a deal that would make her a permanent member of the cast.
Look for De Mornay to play an uptight society type who’s hoping to get a piece of Carter (Noah Wyle). De Mornay is scheduled to debut on the season premiere. Not much is known about Tierney’s role, or exactly when she'll surface. As always, we’ll keep you posted.
