The Nine Network have announced a seven-part best-of-the-century series in a "Panel" style format to be hosted by Ray Martin.

Entitled "Simply The Best", each week Ray Martin will be joined by a different panel of experts to argue a chosen subject based on picking "the best" of the century in movies, music, sport and more.

Those joining the panel will include Gretel Killeen, Jane Flemming, Bryce Courtenay, HG Nelson, Robin Williams, Barry Jones, Dr Brian Gaensler, Ernie Sigley, Tony Squires, Noeline Brown, Wendy Harmer, Rove McManus, Mia Freedman, Molly Medrum, Glenn A. Baker, Debra Byrne, David Campbell, Helen Razer, Jacki Weaver, John-Michael Howson, Leo Schofield, Ken Done, Doug Mulray, Lisa Wilkinson and Richard Fidler.

Nine promises a string of special "surprise" guests, live performances and a home viewer interactive element. Simply The Best begins 8.30 Tuesday, October 19 and runs through to Tuesday, 30 Novemeber.
