This was the week for movers and losers.
E.R. was the biggest surprise, leaping from ninth position to first, followed very closely by Burke’s Backyard, which rose from eighth to second. Channel Seven’s Blue Heelers jumped from eleventh to third, confirming that there is life after Maggie Doyle.
But with winners there must be losers. Channel Nine’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, fifteenth last week, completely dropped out of the Top Twenty.
Overall, Channel Nine dominated the ratings with over 34 per cent of all night-time viewers. Channel Seven came in second with 29.2 per cent whilst Channel Ten followed yet again with just under 20 per cent. The ABC scored 13.9 per cent with a little help from Monarch of the Glen and SBS came in last with 2.8 per cent.
