Sometimes when you're on a Saturday night show that finished in 94th place last season, in its third year, you have to forget about all those Emmy nominations you'd dreamed about, cut your losses, and get the hell out of dodge.
Besides, isn't Ally Walker just too damn hot to convince anyone that she's a "brilliant" FBI psychologist who can get in the heads of serial killers? For example, can anyone imagine Heather Locklear playing a nuclear physicist? Of course not. Is that a bad thing? Hell no.
NBC Entertainment President Garth Ancier expressed his regret at seeing Walker depart, but considering NBC co-produces the show, you'd think he would have to be excited about the opportunity to find a female (or male) lead who might actually be convincing in the role.
The remaining members of the "Profiler" will stick around for the fourth season. Walker will no doubt try to move on to bigger and better things. We are, of course, secretly praying she fails and ends up in porn.
