Network Ten has announced that from 2001, it will begin its three year broadcasting rights to the prestigious US Open Golf Tournament.
Ten’s General Manager of News and Sport, David White said “This is a great result for the Network. The US Open is one of the world’s top tournaments, part of the Grand Slam of golf”.
The deal will also include the broadcasting rights to the US Amateur tournament, an event that showcases the golfing stars of tomorrow and is the event that Tiger Woods won for three consecutive years.
Network Ten will broadcast the tournament LIVE between June 15 – 18, 2001 from the Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
