It's Petunias Vs Pop - and it could be the year's biggest TV battle.
The Nine Network will launch their big gun special project - Don Burke's Backyard Blitz - Sunday April 9 at 6.30pm. It's final half hour will go head to head with the killer Popstars on Seven.
Backyard Blitz will take one of the most popular segments of Burke's Backyard - the garden makeover - and give it abit of Sunday night glitter. Hosted by former Manpower star and landscape gardener Jamie Durie, the series will use a team of experts to transorm in two days the gardens of ordinary Australians.
Gardener Jody Rigby, landscaper Nigel Ruck, builder Scott Cam and his faithful kelpie Lizzie will give the common concrete jungles a sprinkle of colour, and with any luck for Nine, tear down the Popstars phenomenon.
Don Burke will executive produce Backyard Blitz in association with CTC Productions.
