I will continue to beat this dead horse until someone within
the government watchdog agency takes action. Im referring
to the blatant disregard for viewers as the networks continue to
ignore the time and drag programs way over their scheduled end
times. This week I was caught out even though I thought I was
being smart by programming my VCR for a stop time of 10 minutes
past the schedule time. What I didnt take into account was
the starting time was also about 10 minutes late, so I still
missed the ending of Frasier!
The current MacDonalds ad with the boy and girl rolling around
in the grass. Not against a roll in the grass, but the ads
Italian accented voice-over is over the top and the amount of
times its on air just gets on my nerves. Am I alone in
this?
The way the networks carve up a show with their commercial
breaks. All imports (and we all know how many of those we have on
air) for the commercial networks have commercial breaks already
factored into them; so why dont we follow those breaks
instead of inserting our own?
Finally, the sanctimonious manner of Eddie McGuire and company
about the ratings win over the Seven Network in respect to the
recent Nine Networks Footy Legends match over
the State of Origin Allies game. As the noted
columnist Robert Fidgeon stated, if Sevens Saturday
night Victoria-South Australia clash had been up against the
geriatrics, the results would have been different.
Isnt it time for Eddie to realise hes no Bruce
McAlveny or Sandy Roberts when it comes to calling a game?
