The world premiere of the new Tommy Tune musical, a stage adaptation of Irving Berlin's 1948 MGM classic Easter Parade, will take place in Australia in summer 1998. The show will have engagements in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. A Broadway stint will follow during the 1998-99 season.

Easter Parade features such Berlin hits as "A Couple of Swells," "It Only Happens When I Dance With You," "Shaking the Blues Away" and "Steppin' Out with My Baby." Co-star, co-director and choreographer Tune will trek to Australia with author and co-director Phillip Oesterman and co-star Sandy Duncan for a Sydney workshop. The show also stars Australian Rhonda Birchmore.
