The case of the missing Oscars is officially over.
Lawrence Edward Ledent, the truck driver charged with stealing the fifty-five statuettes, has been sentenced to six months jail and five years probation. In addition, Ledent has been ordered to pay $51,050 in restitution to his former employer, Roadway Express, and to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science.
Although police maintain Ledent didn't work alone, no other suspects have been caught.
