Paul McDermott and Co have finally signed on the dotted line, moving their successful comedy-debate show from the ABC to Network Ten in 1999.
Reports are indicating that the new deal is worth around the $6 million mark, and that Ten will not only get Good News Week, but also a new live 90 minute variety show featuring McDermott, Julie McCrossin, Mikey Robins, Flacco and the Sandman.
The crossing of networks has been a lengthy and unpredictable state of affairs in recent months, with all 3 commercial stations showing interest, causing ABC to offer a last-minute counter offer.
No official time or date has yet been set for the premiere of GWN: Commercialised.
