This is the story of Col. Margarethe Cammermeyer (Grethe), an Army nurse with 24 years service and a bronze star earned in Vietnam. During a top-secret security clearance interview, Grethe admits to the military that she is a lesbian. Certain the Army will stand by her after her years of exemplary service, she instead finds herself
facing a possible discharge.
