Nine's Australia's Most Wanted has scored its first murder arrest since the program moved to the network.
The arrest follows a story on the program on Monday which detailed the murder of Melbourne man Allen Bollard, 40, who was stabbed in the head on Saturday after apparantly disturbing a car thief. Mr Bollard died of his injuries on Sunday.
The crimestopping show, previously seen on Seven, received 12 calls to Crimestoppers, with nine callers providing valuable information to the investigating police. This led to the arrest of Dale Bruce Presnell, 26 of Wallan.
"Australia's Most Wanted has contributed significantly to the apprehension of the offender," Detective Inspector Rix said today. "The arrest underlines how successful Australia's Most Wanted can be assisting the police in solving crimes."
